Living and working rurally, I understand how easy it is to want to change your health and wellness habits, yet how difficult it actually is to achieve this. Often we put the needs of the farm, our family and pretty much everyone else before ourselves. Managing your time and everything that needs to be done is tough, let alone finding the time to work out.

Yes, living rural is a wonderful life, but finding ways to look after yourself can be a challenge. Escaping to the gym is rarely an option (hello, the nearest town is miles away and doesn’t even have a gym!), so accessing the equipment to do most of the workouts you find online is a deal breaker.

What you need is a way to get fitter and stronger that works With your rural life… not yet another exercise program developed by someone who has no idea what it’s like living in rural and remote areas.

You also want, and deserve, workouts that are safe and effective.

I joined Farm Life Fitness Community in September 2020 after trying a few other online programs. Fast forward to 2022 and I’m still here and still loving it!

I love the fact that I can do the classes whenever I like, without an audience and at my own pace. I also don’t think there has ever been a workout that has been done before. Not that I have gone through the hundreds that we have available to use whenever we like but I’m certain there isn’t!

The girls are extremely supportive & encouraging. The emphasis is never on weight or size but rather on movement for mental health & making time for yourself.

I’m feeling pretty amazing at the moment but I was starting to really struggle with motivation etc when the weather was hot! Luckily I had that good routine established of getting up & doing the workouts – thanks to the FLF Community – so it got me going in the morning!

But with the extra motivation of the FLF running challenges & cooler weather I’m back running 3 x week & feeling SO much better for it! Even the 4:30am alarm clock due to seeding isn’t phasing me!

Everything else you need to know about FLF Community

What equipment do I need?

Almost nothing! You’ll need:

  • a small space to workout in
  • somewhere to position your phone/computer/tablet so you can see and hear the class
  • a towel or mat if you don’t want to lay on the ground
  • a water bottle to keep hydrated
  • a wall to lean against
  • occasionally you’ll need either some light hand weights or two small cans (for example, 400g tin of tomatoes)

What are the workouts like?

The FLF team runs classes that are fun and flexible. Expect a mix of higher-intensity cardio and low-intensity resistance exercises.

We also do yoga flow once a week.

What if I’m older or not very fit?

The FLF Community is made for every woman  regardless of fitness. Our selection of workouts are designed to be flexible and accessible to various capabilities and fitness levels. The FLF team will often suggest alternative or lower impact movements so members can customise their workouts.

What if I have medical issues?

We recommend you have a complimentary 15-minute consultation with Louise before joining so we can ensure you have a fitness plan that fits your needs.

How do I access the live classes?

The FLF team will run live workshops at the scheduled times on our private Facebook group.

Do I have to attend live?

There is no need to attend live. Shortly after each live workout, you’ll be able to view the workout and all previous workouts in an online library. As long as your subscription is current, you have unlimited on-demand access to the entire FLF Community library.

How long can I access the FLF Community resources for?

While your FLF Community membership is active, you’ll be able to access our private group, live classes, presentations and all replays.

Can I join even if I don't live on a farm?

Absolutely! Our community has members from around Australia and welcomes virtual members from anywhere. 

What if farming life gets busy and I’m not using my membership?

Here at FLF, we are farmers, so we get it. Whether it’s seeding, harvesting, school holidays or just life, there are seasons where there is zero time for anything else. That’s why we offer the FLF Pause.

Once per year, you can pause your FLF membership for up to 2 months. You don’t have access to FLF resources or private group during that time, but you’ll know you’ve got a supportive community ready when you are.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel anytime. Access is billed monthly, so simply notify us at least one week before your next billing period, and we’ll cease your membership payments.

You’ll continue to have access to the live and replayed workouts until the end of your payment period. We are not able to offer partial refunds.
